Yes you do! While in many cultures using a sauna in the buff is normal, and it can be fun and freeing, that’s just not the vibe we’re going for here.
Any type of bathing suit is fine. You can even just wear shorts and maybe a sports bra or a tee if you’d like.
When you visit, bring comfortable athletic clothes, and a bathing suit if you’re planning to plunge. Bring a towel or two (you can use our towel service for $3 if you forget). You’ll need pool deck shoes for the sauna area, like flip flops or slides. And bring a water bottle. Remember, there’s no metal in the hot sauna, so a glass or plastic bottle will serve you best. We’ve got lockers in the back where you can store anything you’re not using at the moment.
Welcome! We’ll be happy to show you the ropes. Our staff can explain the best protocols for contrast therapy, show you how to use the equipment, and help you get settled in. We can even coach you through your first plunge session if you’d like. We’re here to help you feel welcome, so don’t be shy about asking questions!
Our plunges are kept extremely clean. We have them hooked up to a constant filtration and chilling unit that holds the water at the exact temperature we are looking for. The chiller units have physical filters to grab any lint that may come of bathing suits. They also have UV sterilization, and osmosis filtration to keep the water sparkling clean. We change the water 1-2 times each week, depending on use, and add a small amount of chlorine to kill any bacteria present. We also ask that all our guests use a rinse shower before entering to plunges, to keep sweat and lotions from entering the water environment.
Absolutely! We live in a research-oriented town, and it’s super important to us that we present all the evidence in a straightforward and trustworthy way. There is heavy evidence that regular sauna use decreases all-cause morbidity. There is plenty of evidence in the health benefits for cold plunging as well. There is also a ton of bad information and junk out there! We have a large repository of blog posts in our news feed that discuss what’s evidential, what’s anecdotal, and what still needs to be studied further.
Our Oxiline MD Pro scale reports a lot of numbers — weight, body water, muscle mass, body fat percentage, BMI, “obesity rating,” and more. It’s easy to fixate on the number that flashes biggest or that you’re most used to seeing (usually weight or BMI), and some of these readings are misleading. We want to…

Most of us fall into a pretty familiar rhythm. We go from home to work, work to home, with maybe a grocery run, school pickup, or gym stop mixed in. Somewhere along the way, that middle ground disappears. The kind of place where you can simply exist, where you aren’t just a parent, spouse, employee,…

Super high heat helping people stay on the gains train even after they stopped training sounds a little absurd. And yet, that’s exactly the kind of result researchers reported. In our latest Science Update, we’re diving into a fascinating study published in MDPI Applied Sciences (October 2025). It looks at how extreme-heat sauna sessions affect…
