Privacy Policy — Misogi App

This Privacy Policy explains how Misogi (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Misogi mobile app (the “App”).

Information We Collect

When you create an account and use the App, we collect:

• Account information: your email address and password (handled securely via our authentication provider, Supabase), and your name if you provide one.
• Activity data: which self-care practices you log (e.g. Contrast Therapy, Yoga, Breathwork), when you log them, and your resulting streaks, experience points, level, and badges earned.
• Timezone: used to correctly determine your local day for streak and daily-practice tracking.
• Rewards activity: your points balance and history of items you’ve redeemed at the studio.
• Referral information: if you use the “Refer a Friend” feature, the first name you optionally provide for the friend you’re referring.
• Notification preferences: whether you’ve enabled daily reminders. Reminders are scheduled locally on your device — we do not send you notifications through a remote server.

We do not collect your precise location, and we do not access your device’s contacts, camera, or photos.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information above to:

• Operate the App’s core features (tracking your check-ins, streaks, XP, levels, and badges)
• Let you redeem points for studio rewards, and let Misogi staff verify and fulfill those redemptions
• Send you an optional local reminder if you haven’t checked in for the day
• Maintain the security and integrity of your account

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

Who Can See Your Information

• Misogi staff can see your name, reward redemptions, and referral activity in order to fulfill rewards and run the program — the same way a staff member would recognize you at the front desk.
• Service providers: we use Supabase to host our database and manage authentication. Supabase processes data on our behalf and does not use it for its own purposes.

Data Retention

We retain your account information and activity history for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account (available directly in the App, under Profile), your personal data is permanently deleted.

Your Choices and Rights

• You can review your activity, points, and badges at any time within the App’s Profile screen.
• You can delete your account at any time directly within the App (Profile → Delete Account). This is permanent and cannot be undone.
• You can turn off daily reminders at any time in Profile settings.

Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We’ll update the “Last updated” date above when we do.
